Writing Motivation: Who will be next?

I really enjoyed this video, where it touches upon not just writing, not just writer’s block, but the raw emotions that writers endure. Even more beautiful is how the video illustrates this through scenes from movies (many about authors) to show you, not just tell you, the pain, joy, and adventure that writing is all about.

Writer Wednesday: AuthorLevelUp

michael La ronnI discovered this YouTuber, Michael La Ronn, who provides videos on the topic of writing. He authored a number of published books. Click here for his Author page on Amazon. His web site: Author Level Up lists his videos, but you can just as easily view his YouTube page, or subscribe there.

I like how the videos aren’t saturated with ads, but he provides clear tutorials on subjects such as writing, marketing, and publishing your book. He adds some humor, and you can find some videos, he provides reviews on programs he used.

Here are a few of his videos worth watching;

Have a writer, blogger, or youtuber that talks about the craft of writing? Post in comments. I’ll share to let other writers know about them.

A neat idea! Story time YouTube

I discovered this channel on YouTube entitled Scary Fairy Godmother. Coincidently, my writer’s group recently released a fairy tale anthology, but this video channel shows an unique medium to sharing stories- video story telling.

Here is an example: One TRUE Encounter with REAL Fairies….

The YouTuber reads stories with added sound and music, which adds to the atmosphere of storytelling. It reminds me of the times where my father told stories while camping, without a soundtrack.

As writers/authors, you might want to consider adding your own video channel, sharing pieces of your writing as a form of storytelling. You could read a scene from your book, or share one of your short stories.

I’m thinking of doing this myself, telling the stories of my childhood of weird encounters, dreams, or other tales I experienced.

Link: NaNoWriMo Bullet Journal

Linkshare- NaNoWriMo Bullet Journal

National Novel Writing Month is closing in fast, so I wanted to share links and resources for my fellow writers that will endure the NaNoWriMo.

Keeping a journal not only helps keep you on track, but it turns into a resource book to keep on hand at your desk. Boho Berry provides some nice tips, showing you some of her pages, and many can be worked at any time of the year, not just November.

Her channel provides many tips for planners, so if you want to get into bullet journaling and planners, this is good resource.
