Narrative- Telling a story

152px-Quill_and_ink.svgI’ve been looking up the topic on Narrative, on telling or recounting a story to the reader. Crafting a story to intrigue or otherwise engage a reader is no simple task.

Writing Forward had a guest post today by N. Strauss, editor of Creative Writing Now. It provides some good points to remember in working with Narrative, including an exercise to illustrate different points of view.

I happen to enjoy personal narratives because they create an intimidate connection between the story, characters, and the reader. I feel the storyteller is talking to me, personally.

Feel free to add links or comments on the topic of narratives below. I’d love to hear your opinions on this subject.
