Question of the week: What makes a paragraph?

A paragraph includes a main idea, generally in the first sentences. This is then followed by supporting sentences that reiterate or support the main idea. Although not always the case, I’ve found some paragraphs place the main idea at the end.

A paragraph also comprises a complete idea. Each idea gets its own paragraph, supported by additional sentences to strengthen the main idea.
