Words not in my language

While reading the book When Elephants Weep: The Emotional Lives of Animals , I happened upon the word funktionslust, which means ‘the pleasure in what one does best”. In the English language, we don’t have a word for that, but it struck me as odd how many other words we don’t have in our language.
